Choose the format you need

UPPERCASE changes letters to capitals; lowercase changes them to small letters. Title Case capitalizes the first letter of each word while preserving the original whitespace. Sentence case lowercases the text, then capitalizes its first letter and letters after sentence punctuation followed by whitespace.

camelCase and snake_case are useful for identifiers. They split each line at characters that are not letters or numbers, then join the words without separators or with underscores. Accented letters are retained, and empty lines remain empty.

  • Title Case: “a quiet morning” → “A Quiet Morning”
  • camelCase: “ação rápida” → “açãoRápida”
  • snake_case: “ação rápida” → “ação_rápida”

Preserving line breaks

Title Case and Sentence case keep the text’s original spaces and line breaks. camelCase and snake_case process each line independently, so a list of labels remains a list rather than becoming one long identifier.

Review before replacing your original

Check the preview before copying, especially for names, acronyms, and writing systems with special capitalization rules. Case conversion changes letter casing; it does not translate words or determine which words should stay lowercase in a headline style guide.

Frequently asked questions

Does Title Case preserve multiple spaces and new lines?

Yes. It changes letter casing while preserving the original whitespace and line breaks.

Are accented letters supported?

Yes. The converter recognizes Unicode letters and retains accents when creating camelCase and snake_case.

Does Sentence case capitalize after every punctuation mark?

It capitalizes after a period, exclamation mark, or question mark when followed by whitespace. It does not infer sentence boundaries in every language or abbreviation.
